Thanks, I assume this is a common problem?? And not a sign of problems to come in the future?

Hi, I recently purchased a Beomaster 6500. It works well however I noticed that when it is turned off it makes a faint humming noise. I am wondering if this is typical for these machines or if I may have a problem? Thanks
-
Is the 5000 capable of driving a multiroom MCL2 system?
-
Seasons greetings, Are the beosystem 5000 and 5500 pretty comparable in function and performance? Also are the connections in the back identical? Thanks

I am in the market to purchase a beomaster to drive an MCL system in my house which contains 16 speakers. If I just want am/fm radio and basic cd, is there any functional difference between a BM 5500 or BM 7000? I have read up on both of them, and other than age I cant tell a real difference? Does 7000 have usb hookup? Thanks
-
So you still think the Beosystem is the way to go?
-
Ok, I turned my house upside down trying to finally figure this system out, and just when I was about to lose hope, I found what I was searching for. It had been hiding from me in the furnace room. First two pictures are of transciever(amplifier?) that I found hiding. I did not find the other two, but I am assuming they are hidden in the wall somewhere

I wish it were that easy. The previous owners did not install the system and they knew little about it.

I think I am finally coming to understand the system thanks to all of your helpful info. So, knowing that I have 14 speakers in my house, with 3 transcievers. I understand that a beocenter 9500 or a beosystem 7000 will work. Which do you recommend? Thanks again

I am located in northeast Nebraska. And I am sorry but I dont recall if the box looked similar to the picture you sent me. I only really remember what was behind the volume dial.
