Hello, After a busy summer, I finally got a chance to (try) listen to records on my 4004. Much to my dismay, the carriage would move but the arm not set down on the record. After pleading with the entity whose birthday we are about to celebrate, I moved the player to the workbench and removed the cover. Everything looked OK. I was able to manually move

I received the belts Martin sent me earlier this week but did not have a chance to install them until today. The difference between the LP Gear servo belt and Martin's is astounding! And the TT works smooth as silk again. Thanks Martin!! I hope that my experience with LP Gear is a singularity but if there are other complaints you might consider

I ordered my first set from LP Gear but they were not correct. Martin helped me get the right ones and they were more reasonably priced (I hope they get here soon!).

Wonderful board, good info, been reading posts since I acquired a used 4004 last September. Read about the horrors of sending these through the mail and winding up with wood chips and shrapnel so I was lucky that the seller knew how to pack. But I'm off on a tangent. A few weeks ago my 4004 would not move the tonearm after initially setting it down
