have you tried resetting / rebooting your digital setup box ? or perhaps rechecking the digital output from the box to the tv. i did that for my 8-40 and it worked. personally i kinda like the film mode on.

the new Bv-40 's picture and sound quality is really excellent. couple that with an output from the ps 3 for , all i can say is wow.... tested audiophile music cds and blu ray movies (the dark knight, quantum of solace) in this combination. output is awesome. no regrets whatsoever.

Hi Michael, my beovision 8-4 comes with the stand. i find it well constructed and steady. Also great for concealing the cables within (including those belonging to my digital cable box which is mounted behind the tv). the finish is matt silver. the base is a square. can manually rotate the tv upon the stand. personally , no regrets. i bought the 8-40
