    Solved. Thank you, Benoit. I tried pushing the switch to the opposite side as you suggested and it now goes into standby. It just seems counter intuitive that you need to push the switch towards the on side in order to activate auto stand by and not the other way around.

    Thanks for the reply. In regards to the switch, do I push it towards the auto or towards on? I have pushed it towards auto position right now. Am I supposed to push towards on if I want it to automatically turn off when there isn't sound input?
