I really don't know which type of fuse there is in a B&O 9000 but if it's a normal fuse you can "beep" them with a multimeter. Set your multimeter on "beep", often a symbol with a round dot and two/three circular lines on the right. Set the probes from the multimeter on each side of the connectors of the fuse. If you

I haven't been working on a newer B&O so take this with a grain of salt. 1. Open it and look for fuses, maybe the power board is secured with fuses? 2. Did you try this with antenna? Many radios don't work satisfactory without antenna, as the signal is to low the don't tune in the stations. 3. I would guess that this is caused by old

Today I bought a Beomaster 3000. It was in pristine shape and it works perfectly except for the stereo lamp and the balance slide. The lamp if fix easily. But how do I fix the balance slide? I guess there is a pin going from the slide in to the receiver working on a potentiometer. Can I just glue a pin/stick on the slide that pushes on the potentiometer

Sorry, I did not buy it. I could get it as for low as 100 SKR= 10 Euro. But I did not now if it worked, the backpiece was torn. It was on an auction on the cheap section where the only way to bid is to send in a bid, highest bid wins. Lowest bid 100 SKR. You can´t follow the auction and bid higher. I don´t like this system aswell as I was

Are they easy to work on? Chaning the capacitor, is it a difficult operation? I have only worked japanese 70s gear and they are easy to open and understand. Thanks Filip

That was the type of response I wanted. I also thougt it was expensive for a non-completely-working unit. Anyway, B&O has good reputation here in Sweden. We will see how it ends, nothing is impossible. I have lots of units "which I dont care about and almost paid nothing for". We will see. Thanks for you response!

Well, I don´t know the repairman personally. I went by to buy some lamps to a another vintage Sansui receiver. I normally try to fix things by myself. I have never left anything with a repairman, YET. I don´t know how good he is, maybe not the best, and definetly not a specialist at B&O. I am thinking of exchanging some stuff which I

Thank you for your response. Ok, I see. He is asking more than the double. If it isnt the capacitor, what could it be? Neg. aspects of the 8000 model compared to 9000/9500? Thank you :-)

Hi, second post here. I have got a Beocenter 8000 on the hook. I have a pair of questions: The CD does not work. It is a repairman how is selling it so I am thinking it is nothing you fix easy. Can you buy and exhange the whole CD mechanism or parts? I have always wanted a 9000 och 9500, but I liked the black finish on this one, is it much worse than

Hi everyone, My first post here. I found this radio at a thrift shop, thinking of buying it but I don´t know how much it is worth "on the market". I am generally more interested in 70s stuff, but everytime I see the B&O logo I get curious, regardless age. It is ok, but has som veneer marks, the back piece is original but broken.
