Graham - the lens cleaning did not work. I do notice that when the CD cover closes over the cds the cover appears to be pushing down on the cd unit. Is this common or is there perhaps an alignment issue? Jo

I have a used 18 year old Beocenter 9300 which has a problem with the CD player: when activated, the CDs either spin mercilessly or screech to a halt and the cover opens without playing the CD. Anyone else have this problem and can you direct me toward a repair solution or if there is one? jo
