it's obv designed for pc's , not macs :(
It hasn't crashed with Hackintosh (Q9650, HD4850, 8GB, OS X 10.5.5) so far, on my Core Duo Vista laptop it's unstable. The lack of CPU/GPU performance or just an older version of Flash player may be the culprit, haven't bothered to investigate

  • Re: A £100 System?

P-series panel speakers would be my choice, providing that they fit in the budget. I have a pair of P30:s at the beach sauna at my summer cottage and while they're not exactly high-fi, they're unobtrusive and perfect for background music. A Beomaster from the same era would IMO be a nice match, depending on whether you need remote control or

  • Re: Best ever designed BeoLab fom Bang&Olufsen
Yeah... that's a sure thing!
In today's world, with strong emphasis on individuality, it's difficult to see that as a bad thing. People who I lovingly call pocketbook decorators don't have these anymore.
The Pentas were the first speakers that really caught my eye when I was a 'nipper' (a young guy for our European friends!) and I must say I looked at them in total awe.
Pentas must be the the ticket for me, too. I was in high school when they were first introduced, somewhat into hifi at the time

  • Re: Your favorite pinball machines

Ouch. Not this subject. I used to collect Bally/Williams pinball machines, before my "everything must go" phase, and still have a couple of my favourites left - Black Rose and Corvette. All in all, I'm a fan of widebody pinballs. In no particular order, The Addams Family (Gold preferred), Twilight Zone, Indiana Jones and Judge Dredd are
Am I to understand that, even if you register, there is no way to bypass all that Barbie & Ken nonsense at the front end everytime you login? - surely even B&O's web designers can't be that lame!
Yes there is, a "Skip Video" button on the right-hand side of the screen. A lifesaver.

  • Re: BC9500 - one speaker channel dead

That was quick - thanks! I wasn't even aware of the lack of muting function in 2nd speaker outputs until now. It sounds like I'll leave it alone, too much trouble when the only reward is a warm fuzzy feeling knowing that even features you'll never use, work.

  • BC9500 - one speaker channel dead

Im not sure if there's an obvious, easy fix for this, so I'll have to ask: The right channel of amplified "SPEAKERS 1" DIN-connectors is dead. Both channels work fine on "SPEAKERS 2" -connectors, so the power amplifier unit is probably OK - providing that the system doesn't have an independent amp unit for each of the
But I really like the interior and graphic design... although my iMac froze a couple of times...
The "house" itself is quite stylish, even though when you've lived in a contemporary / international design house for a few years, you don't pay that much attention to it anymore. It reminded me of the

110Mbit EuroDOCSIS 3.0 cable here, works beautifully with a fast computer, but even though Beolounge is very elegant, I'm still wondering what, exactly, is the point. User interface reminds me of early mouse-controllable Sierra adventure games and the narration is filled with cliches and you can't even read the magazine upstairs without registering
