Peter : I take it that you are using a 5 pin to 5 pin DIN lead between the Tape 2 of the 7000 and the Aux of the BS9000? Very strange! I use the Tape 2 as an output on my 5500 constantly! Hi Peter, yes I used a 5 DIN plug to the TAPE2 but maybe it's different on a 5500 then on a 7000. I have tried it again, but no result.

P.S. When I connect the Beosystem 7000 CD Player or Tape Recorder or Record player into the AUX of the BeoSound 9000 directly, the sound comes through all four speakers connected to the Beovision 7-40.

Thanks for the input, but the AUX on the BeoSound 9000 works well in my link room system. I can press AUX on the remote in link rooms ans the music will play. Or I press Tape on the two Beolabs 2000 that I have in the bathrooms and that turns on the AUX source as well. By the way I really really appreciate everybody thinking along with me!!! THANK YOU

a2bur: I'm no expert but just a thought , can't the 7000 be set to option 6 then you can use link commands to control it with no conflict to the 9000 or am I wrong . I have just tried AV-A.AUX but that doesn't seem do do the trick. Connecting the DIN plug to Tape 1 and Tape 2 don't seem to be a solution either. The BeoSound 9000 is getting no signal through it's AUX input. The strange thing is that when I put the DIN plug in the TV/AUX on the Beosystem 7000 just a little bit, the signals comes through

PL212: This isn't actually going to work very well. In order to get the BeoSystem 7000 to play over AUX, you're going to need to issue an AV RADIO or similar command, to get the audio over the AUX port. That's not doable via front-panel buttons, and you can't have it respond to the remote because of the conflict with the BS9000. My suggestion
