    there's some sonab OA4 type 2's on ebay at the moment . Would they be any good? i notice impedance is approx 7 ohms so I am thinking not as all the other speakers are 4ohms apiece ... is that right? cheers R

    hi folks! we've 2 sets of speakers hooked up to the 3000. Both are unmarked and have been with us since the early 70's. Since we used new caps supplied by Martin for our other B&O amps & speakers we've REALLY noticed a difference , especially on an old 1400 with tape deck.... so now we're after better sound for the 3000 set-up

    Hi Martin, thanks for the lead regarding reconing. I'm afraid they no longer offer the service & neither does the other reconer in UK who doesn't touch Hifi stuff. Despite my best efforts, the one speaker centrepiece has contact & so distorts , not so much with music but with radio voices . As i haven't the facilities for reconing

    Thanks folks. Yup , that's the way i'm going... i've found some rubber rings & glue on ebay from a guy in The Netherlands. Should be here before next weekend with instructions . The 901 goes with the 2702s destined for the kitchen . & the 1400 runs the M70's in the lounge. The bulbs which i couldn't get before were the ones

    hi there.. this is my first post.. joined today. I got my first B&O stuff about 25 years ago, newly married (no money), when people still bought stuff from free-ads in local newspapers Beocenter 1400 & Beogram 1202 with some M70 speakers and they have been great & are still main system we use. I decided to trade up & become respectable
