Hi After 24 hrs of soaking in oil the brass rod moves up and down unfortunately it still doesnt lift. Having looked inside the casing seems to have shifted and their are a number of loose wires not sure whether they should be loose or not??? Moved the central pin that goes through the brass hole but it was attached to a loose piece of brown plastic

Understand now! yes its stuck! I will lubricate and hopefully after a couple of days it should free up!

MartinIm a little confused. Should the thin brass pin that slots into the big brass pin move i.e horizontally as this moves freely or does the big brass pin move up and down as this is rigid i.e vertically. Thanks Andy

Just to add it was all working and checked prior to postage therefore it has been knocked about during delivery. Has something simply been knocked out of line? Is it simple to look into? I have repaired a beogram 1500 so if its a simple mechanical issue I should be able to sort it. If it isnt then can anyone recommend a good engineer to send it to?
