Not sure if i'm in the right place, but anyway.. I've bought myself a wii which i've plugged in to my B&O Avant (AV connection) which i also have a B&O stero connected to. I've added the V.AUX to my Beo4 and i can play without any problems. Except one. I've always been able to connect my sound from the TV to the stero (Radio -> AV -> TV and all that) But i don't know how to make it work for the V.AUX sound. Is it possible and how do i do it?

Re: Beo4 remote question(s)
Hi and welcome to the forum. Can you get the sound from the Wii through the speakers of the Avant? Is the Wii connected with a fully wired Scart? Which model Beo4 do you have? I guess it is Sat AV CD on the second row of buttons. Andy T.

Re: Beo4 remote question(s)
You can add A-V.AUX (Audio from Video AUX) to the List.

I see Ignace has answered! The Wii is great fun! Have had one for a year now - works well with the AV9000. I bought the Wii RGB scart cable though I confess that I am not sure it was necessary!

Re: Beo4 remote question(s)
Thanks for all the replies! I'll see if i can give you some more information. My beo4 second button row contains SAT | AV | CD as you said. I've added V.AUX to my LIST so i can acces my wii channel. The sound works great on the TV. But when i tried to have the wii sound on the stero, i instinctivly tried RADIO -> AV -> and then pressing LIST until i got to V.AUX, and nothing happened. Just tell me if you need more info!

Re: Beo4 remote question(s)
Like i wrote in my previous post, you´ll have to add A - V.AUX to the list.
V.AUX opens the Video Aux-port A-V.AUX opens the sound from the Video Aux-port (you will not need the AV-button in this case !) I have the same Beo4, and if i want the sound from V.AUX, i only have to press List once the Beo4 shows `A-V.AUX` , then i press `GO`

Ok, i misunderstood you, sorry, missed the A-V :P However, i tried adding it and... I can't find any A-V.AUX! The only similair ones are V.AUX and A.AUX. Sorry if i still misunderstand you.

Re: Beo4 remote question(s)
No problem Could you check which software version your Beo4 has ? To check this : press MENU and GO simultaneously, the press List untill display shows SW: (my Beo4 shows SW: 5.00 )

Re: Beo4 remote question(s)
Tough one, i'm slowly running out of options Perhaps we could use a different approach. Instead of assigning the name "V.AUX" to switch to that socket, using another available name on that socket could solve the problem.
For example V.TAPE2 instead of V.AUX to register the source in the Avant menu, adding V.TAPE2 to the list of Beo to have access to the source, and to have access to the sound : adding A-V.TP2 to Beo4 list.

Re: Beo4 remote question(s)
Hmm... I THINK i got it. I tried changing it V.TAPE2 and adding it to the Beo4 list, but i still can't find any A-V.TP2.

Re: Beo4 remote question(s)
I just realised that you have the AV button available (on my Beo4 it is in the List), Selecting the source is V.TAPE2. Selecting sound from that source : AV + V.TAPE2 If that doesn't work, perhaps you could use SAT to switch to source (audio: AV + SAT) ?

Re: Beo4 remote question(s)
Hmmm... V.TAPE2 seems to work exactly as V.AUX, i can't get any sound by pressing RADIO (or CD) -> AV -> LIST til i get to V.TAPE2 on the Beo4 (if that was what you were referring to). Feels like there's a somekind of selection button missing here.
I tried the AV + SAT and that got the stereo's attention at least. But then i need guidance to link the SAT to V.AUX, which i don't have a clue how to do.

Re: Beo4 remote question(s)
Is the wii registered correctly in the Avant ? If the Avant doesn't "know" what is connected, it can't relay the audio. So, if you add for example V.TAPE2 to Beo4 list, make sure V.TAPE2 is also registered in the Avant sockets menu. Could you give an exact description of your setup ? - Avant (VCR or DVD) - which other components connected / to which socket(s) - which B&O audio - types of connection (between Avant and B&O audio) - Option setting of Avant and audio - how is the wii registered in the sockets menu of Avant (as V.TAPE2 ?)
Regarding missing button; your version of Beo4 is somewhat different (AV-button), but controlling B&O should be possible without any serious limitations.

Re: Beo4 remote question(s)
Ok, will answer as much as i can. - Avant (VCR or DVD) *Since it's never had any DVD, i suppose it's... VCR
- which other components connected / to which socket(s) *V.TAPE connected to its appropiate slot, antenna cabel connected, WII connected through AV
- which B&O audio *B&O Beosound Ouverture
- types of connection (between Avant and B&O audio) *AUX port to Avant
- Option setting of Avant and audio *Don't really know what kind of info you want here.
- how is the wii registered in the sockets menu of Avant (as V.TAPE2 ?) *As of now, it is through V.AUX. Tried V.TAPE2, no difference.

Re: Beo4 remote question(s)
Thanks, that gives a better overview. The Option setting i was referring to is a setting that tells the B&O components how to respond to remote control. As you have indicated that the Ouverture responds to AV + SAT, it seems that Option setting is correct. What puzzles me is the connection between Avant and Ouverture. Both have Masterlink, so to connect them via an AUX cable would mean that you also use a converter to have the AUX-cable connect to Masterlink-cable. The wii, is it connected via a SCART-connector ? I get the impression that the problem is not in the relaying of sound, but getting sound into the Avant. I'm not familiar with the types of connections that wii uses, a quick Google-search shows video connection by component, composite and s-video, but these are video-connections, not audio.

Re: Beo4 remote question(s)
Hmmm, i think i gave you wrong info. They are apparantly connected through masterlink cable, my bad. Wii is connected through a scart connector (which was included) to the AV scart output.

Re: Beo4 remote question(s)
Is there sound from the Wii through the Avant speakers ? Does the Wii have some kind of setting for analog / digital audio / output ?

Re: Beo4 remote question(s)
Yes, the sound works great on the TV. No really advance soundsettings, just mono/stereo/surround. I just think it has something to do with settings, since i can't even make the sound system connect to either V.AUX or V.TAPE2 through AV. Somehow, when i start flipping through LIST, the AV command just cancels. Don't have any trouble connecting to SAT (which i don't even use) or anything like that.

Re: Beo4 remote question(s)
In the Avant, is SAT selected somewhere ? Can you select "SAT" from the AV-socket-menu in Avant ?

Re: Beo4 remote question(s)
If you by socket-menu mean SOURCE, where i choose what type of device i have connected to the AV output, then... No, i can't select SAT.

Re: Beo4 remote question(s)
Perhaps if you select Decoder, you can use the normal TV command on Beo4 Sound : AV + TV You would have to assign a channel-number to the program that shows the "decoder"
