    Beogram 5005 compatability

I was recently given a Boegram 5005 as a gift and I am having a small dilemma.  I do not have a tuner/receiver that has a "phono" input. Should I buy a "phono pre-amp" to plug into my receivers'  'AUX' inputs, or should I go out and purchase a receiver that has an existing phono input?

I'm sure this is common sense to most, but I am unsure and would prefer not to damage anything.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You won't do any damage Josh so don't panic!

Cheapest option is a phono pre -amp and there are some available if you do an internet search. They range from £20 or so to prices that would require a second mortgage. I suggest £40 would buy you an adequate device including a din - rca converter which you will probably need.
