Hi everyone,

My faithfull old CD50 is now refusing to play CDs - loads them OK then gives them a wee spin and sends them straight back out again. Having taken the top off I can see that the motor is working OK and is quiet, the CD is being lifted upwards but there is four clicks to be heard when the laser seems to drop down. I have cleaned the laser unit as best I can with no results. Any ideas?

Any info or advice would be very much appreciated or other possible checks I could run to identify the problem.

 

 

 

One of the common problems here is that the motor wears. Not insoluble but needs an expert's touch! I would suggest that Tim Jarman if you are in the UK is the man to contact. Just fixed mine!
