    Beovision 6 advise

I'm interested in purchasing one of these TVs. Can anyone advise if there has been any issues with the early models (I'm looking at a 2004 model) or if there had been any upgrades before the new series in 2006.

     Regards, Brian.

The problem with early LCD sets is that the picture is simply not that great. The technology is moving all the time so today it is reaching a point where it is almost acceptable to my eyes! One that is 3 years old is probably not - to me! However each of us is different and if you find the picture OK, and the price is good, then I am unaware of any big problems with these sets. Given the choice, I would have a Beovision MX4002 though.

    Re: Beovision 6 advise

I have a Beovision 6-26 bought in december 2005. It got a software upgrade during spring 2006 to enable loudness and to get the full use of the picture formats.

I'm very happy with it. I used to have an MX4002, which was perfectly fine, but the 26" widescreen works better when watching movies. Both sets have excellent picture quality IMO and they both look great. I would still be using the MX if I hadn't gotten the BV6 for my 35th birthday... ;)
