Business Week Article; "Where Designers Rule"

    Hi All,

Don't know if any of you have seen it but there is an interesting article in this weeks issue of Business Week magazine.  The link to the article is http://www.businessweek.com/magazine/content/07_45/b4057057.htm?chan=search  If you can't get to it, I can gladly get an electronic copy to Peter who can then disseminate it the best way possible. Hey Peter, can we print the whole article here?

The article is just as the title indicates:  Designers Rule at B&O.  The story is about the future of B&O and how is it going to handle the challenges of the digital world going forward.  Both Jacob Jensen and David Lewis are mentioned, but primarily Lewis as the company searches for a replacement for him, which apparently is not that easy.  Designer Tosten Valeur is highlighted through some anecdotal stories to exemplify how designers rule at B&O, but he is not hinted at being the new Lewis.  The story does hint however about the friction between Lewis and Chris Sorensen, who runs IdeaLab.  Sounds like Lewis bristles when he hears the name.

That article acknowledges how successful B&O is today (and in the past), but indicates that is no gaurantee of the future. I thought the article would be a good thread for discussion about the future direction of B&O.

    Regards, Tom

Tom, this is really a very good article, but there is already a thread about it:
