Is the Beolink 1000 the correct remote for the Beomaster 4500?

Short question, but I'd love the answer.

The Beolink 1000 is fine. However some 4500s will also work with the Beolink 5000 and 7000 in two way mode and all will also work with the Beo4 and Beo5.

Yes!

However, although the Beo4 will control almost all the functions of the 4500, you cannot programme the radio tuning functions such as auto and manual tuning via the Beo4. For this you need the 1000.  

 

I think Andy has found a way around this!! You need to leave the room with the set in Radio mode, press TV, then V.Setup, at which point Tune becomes available, and then return to the room! Should work!! Or get a Beo5! I agree that a Beolink 1000 is easier though or indeed a Beolink 5000 in one way mode if the S/W is not that needed for 2 way control.

Thanks everyone for the advice and information. Since I have a choice, I'll get a 1000.
