    Import iTunes library

    Hello,

I need some advice from you all :
I saved my former iTunes library form my PC and brought back to my new iMac using the FTP protocol.
When loading iTunes, I can't find my fomer configuration as before.
Here is how i managed my folder :
Musique/Itunes (folders configured like this in the firm)
                             I_Itunes Library
                             I_Itunes Music
                             I_Itunes Music Library.xml
                             I_Previous Itunes Library
                             I_ITunes Artwork

    Did I miss something?
BTW, I am not realling willing to build again a new configuration on Itunes (hours of copying CD.....)
    Thanks for your help.
    Guy

Did you just save it onto another HDD? I just drag and drop the iTunes music folder into the Library folder of iTunes and it seem to just do it! Done from mac to PC and vice versa.

    Re: Import iTunes library

    Thnaks Peter,

In fact I just saved it in my current Mac HDD. It does no run...

Where I saved is in the folder Music/Itunes. By the way, I can see a Libray Folder of Itunes.
I have in my Itunes folder the :
    - Album network (folder)
    - Itunes library (data file)
    - Itunes Music folder
    - Itunes Music library.xml

I also tried to drag and drop in the folder Bibliothèque/Itunes where there is the Itunes Plug-ins folder.
    It does no run...
The folder Bibliothèque is the one where there is all the programs installed, like the program files folder on windows.

    Cheers Peter,

    Guy

    Re: Import iTunes library

Hold down the ALT key whilst opening iTunes (some of your open programs may disappear, just click their icon again to get them back). A window will appear asking you to either 'cancel', 'create new library' or 'choose library'. Click 'choose' and select the file I_Itunes library. Finder should highlight as the only 'acceptable' file in the folder.
