    My Beovision 8902

[:'(]  Last night my 8902 died!!   22 years old!!! After 8 moves around Europe - not all as sensitive and delicate as required - the tube finally gave in. Hail to B&O for quality - and durability! I have been weened on B&O products since 1941 when I - 4 years old - became aware of the fantastic sound of the radio that my father had bought a few years earlier. Still - nothing comparesBig Smile

If you are in the UK, I have an 8902. It has a fault involving some electronics but the tube would seem to be fine when last used. Collect it and it is yours!!Not answering messages till Saturday as on dial up where I am!

Re: My Beovision 8902 AND THE GRAND PRIX 41 K!

Identified the radio I was "weened" on! Was off a couple of years as to my farthers purchase. He apparently bought it in 1941 - not easy to remember for a 4 year old at the time - 66 years later. Marvelous radio - it pulled in everything from anywhere - when AFN began broadcasting from Paris in late 1944 early 1945 and later from Munich and Frankfurt it came in like the local station in Copenhagen.  The 41K remained in good service untill 1986 when my father moved and sold it!
