    Beomaster 7000 Buzz

I have a beosystem 7000 (unfortunatly without the Beogram) which has been running flawlessly.

Recently I have noticed a buzzing sound coming from the Beomaster. This can only be heard when you place your ear up close to the unit, this sound does not come through to the speakers.

Does any one have the same problem, and can I replace some components easily or do I need to bring it in to be serviced?

     Thanks

More or less quite normal, the sound is caused by the transformer... and old pvc bushings of the transformer.

The bushings can be replaced easily, they are not very expensive... ~5 Euro. The transformer itself can also make some noise. Some plastic coating can solve this problem, it's a spray sold from Kontakt Chemie "Plastik". Something like a clear paint.
