Is there a way to play a 12" disc at 45 rpm?

I've got a BG4004 and a Beocenter 2200 ... I can't see how it can be done, but thought I'd ask here just in case I'm missing something.

I have a Mobile Fidelity LP that's in the 12", 45 rpm format.

Seems I've found the downside to automation ...

I haven't done this for a while on my 4002, but can't you hit the 45 selctor key on your 4004 when the tracking arm is in the air? I'm sure I've done this before, and therefore it has to be straightforward!

     I'm going to try it!

The deck's not set up at the moment, but soon will be.

    Thanks!

I'm pretty sure John's rgiht. It's certainly the way to do it with the later tangential decks and I'm pretty well 99% sure it's the same with the beocenter 2200.

There is NO problem changed speeds with a Beogram 4002 or 4004, just push the speed button, and you are there.

Conversely, if you have a 7” record that requires 33 1/3, just press the 33 button and you will be at the correct speed.

Everything in life should be this easy! Enjoy your Beogram 4004…. I certainly do mine! Big Smile

    Thanks, everyone!

And to all of you who  have 4004's, I have a question: Can I have your dustcover?

     :-)
