Well, I have...  um...   er...   a friend, who managed to stupidly knock over a glass of wine onto his Beo4 and master control panel lying on the table.  The batteries were quickly removed and thankfully the vino in question was white and so no damage was done to the carpet (which is actually dark purple anyway, just in case) or anything else. To be honest, I don't think any liquid actually got into the internals, but does anyone know as to whether this it would take one day or three to my, I mean his, remote controls to dry out?

First thing i'd have done is get the hoover out and hold the 'crevice tool' over the buttons! This usually sucks out most of the remaining liquid..

The most importaint thing is that the liquid (the wine) was not sweet. If you spill liquid containing sugar you must quickly rinse under water, as sugar will cause a short circuit.

If it was a dry white wine, just make sure it is completely dry. I would rather miss it for a week, than I would risk using it untill it is dry. I would do what Lee suggest but repeat the circle 3 times. The rice might also work.

If it were mine, I would whip the back off, undo the six nuts that hohd the PCB in, tale out the contact membrane and clean it with Isopropanol. Twenty minutes tops!
