I have the same interest.

Do we need a DVD controller for DVD players? Or is this working with STB-C, too?

In the current version of firmware (as of about 6 weeks ago anyway - at work so don't have version number to hand), there is no 3rd party DVD support. However, I understand that this will be added, and other people have mentioned support for AppleTV etc is coming.

The engineer who did my last update also said in theory B&O would add support for any piece of hardware on request, for a price, although the implication was you would have to send off the hardware to B&O to get this done.

So if anyone sees anything other that the B&O DVD (or the generic non-B&O DVD) listed in their BS3 please shout and list your firmware version.

There is a new SW tool for the dealers/service tech´s where they can customise the STB list and as well add 3-party DVD's like the Toshiba HD DVD A1, Samsung BLU-RAY in the list there are some 25 different DVD's as well some VCR's.

How much is a BS3 approx and are there different versions of it within the EU? I.e. a Danish, UK, German, etc? Could I buy one here in the UK and take it back to Denmark?

Anyone with a UK pricelist somewhere?

In the UK the BS3 is £5,100 including the DVB-S/T module and VAT.
