    Beosound SD with mac

Hi i have a fair bit of music that is on the iMac in mp4 mode, is there a way of converting mp4 music to mp3 so i can listen on my beosound SD's?

    Cheers

There are lots of free converters of the 'net - just search for "mp3 converter", they will generally convert between most formats. Can't tell you which is best for Mac however as I am not a Macuser. (On PC I use the batch conversion facility of my audio editor Adobe Audition)

Generally speaking, you aren't learning much if your lips are moving.

Its a pain alright. Buy an Airport Express and listen iTunes wirelessly, its a lot easier. I re-imported all my CD's into iTunes using mp3 encoding.

    or use the app SWITCH

Or just use iTunes' built in one! Go into preferences, and under the 'advanced' tab area, set it to MP3, with the quality you want. Then select all the songs in your library which are MP4, and right click > convert to MP3. You can search for all the MP4 songs by right clicking on the column headers in the library view and ticking 'Kind' and sorting by that column. Depending on how many songs you've got, you may want to go and do something else for a bit. It can take a very very long time.

Ah Alex you are a legend!

Thank you -  Connecting the itunes to the stereo's A.AUX would be too much hassle and the sound quality would deem the B&O's quality, useless. Now i can convert the music i want onto the SD's and enjoy beautiful quality music on the BS4 and BS2 YAY! Big Smile

Cheers, wasn't always possible to do this. Must be an iTunes update.

No, it's been there for a good few years. I think even iTunes 3 did it.
