    Non-working B&O products

Can anyone tell me if there is a market for a BeoVision MX5000 Video system?  vintage 1989, finally stopped working last year.  I have the TV, motorized swivel tv stand with platform for VCR, VX 5000 VCR, and Beolink 1000 remote.   The system is white, beautiful, and in good condition.  Don't know what would be required to make them operational again, but don't want to just throw them either.

Also have working 1980 +- B&O receiver (with cassette player and radio), and B&O turntable of same vintage.  Any ideas on pricing???

    Thanks!

Given the fact that working Avants sell for only a few hundred $$$ (original cost: $8,000), I'd say that you should probably consider yourself lucky if you don't have to pay someone $50 to cart it away.  If I owned it I'd call a repair center and ask if they want it for free (for parts).  That way, hopefully you won't have to throw it out.

Always worth a trip to eBay for these - however non working video equipment is not a great seller. The casseiver is also likely to be poorly received - which one is it?

The Beogram could be the salvation - if it works and has a cartridge, it could be worth a bit as vinyl is back in fashion!!

The remote is worth more than the TV/Video and you will need to pay to get rid of the TV.

If the Beogram is a tangential tracker it could be worth a bit. Ebay is the place to sell it.

sell it all seperately on ebay, and take good pics with an honest description. Start the auctions at 1c

Better to get 1c for it than have to pay to have it taken away

My advice, go for a MX8000, see ebay. Or do what I did, I changed my MX4000 for a beovision 3 32 inch (wide screen and far better sound)

For prices seach on www.ebay.co.uk on type (for example: beomaster 3500, beocenter)
