    iPod to Beolab 1

    Good afternoon,

I would need a piece of advise in order to find the best way to connect a pair of Beolab 1 to an iPod. My wife does not like the Beosound 5 we have got presently and prefers to browse directly on her iPod, iPhone or iPad. My first reflex was to use Airplay through an Airport Express, but was told that DAC is not very good and that the volume when starting may damage the Lab1s.

Thanks in advance for your recommendations.
    Cheers.

What about a DLNA app in the iPad/iPod.  Mediaconnect works but there are loads you can try and find which suits your own needs best.

These will allow you to control the bs5 and browse the library and so select albums, tracks etc, pause, play and control volume.  Total cost if you go for an expensive app will be about £2.99.  You also retain the benefit o the sound quality from the bs5 rather than relying on an airport express.
