It is off topic - I'll soon move this to the Lifestyle subforum which can take it...
I
feel for you Olly - I had the pedal of my Volvo drop down to the floor
just last autumn, only I was already at the traffic lights. What a feeling. The engine
of course stalled as I needed to brake. I managed to wiggle 1st gear in
so I could drive it out of the way with the starter - the engine started
as well and I could nicely veer off to a parking lot.
It wasn't
even the first time, so I knew I had to walk back to the crossing to
collect the mounting parts that fall on the street when this happens,
and don't come with the new clutch cable. Not counting the trip
to the parts store and back, the whole operation took me half an hour
and 10 euros. I can see how yours won't be quite that easy
Persevere and you shall win!
