    Beoport & CD-Ripping

    After setting up my beoport for the DIY Beomedia project today I tried to rip a CD to the computer.

    Is it normal, that the ripping process takes as much time as listening to the full CD it self ?

    Did I do something wrong when ripping ?

    I've got more than 300 CDs. I do not have the time to listen to all CDs to have them ripped. Anyone know a faster way to do it and to get the right mp3-Tag info and covers for Beoport ?

    Any help would be fine.

    Hello  BeoIce,

    I use dBpoweramp for ripping CDs. It support many target formats. I ripped all my CD to Apple Lossless. You simply have to install the additional codec (simply google "dcbasssource alac") and BeoMedia plays lossless files.
