    beomaster 2200-faulty lid switch/button

I have just joined BEOWORLD and was hoping to get some advice on a small problem I have encountered with a newly purchased Beomaster 2200. I have depressed the long lever/button that opens the lid to the internal adjustments (balance, treble, bass etc) and it has not returned to its original position. The bottom half sags  in the depressed position. I am still able to open the lid by pressing the the top half of the button. Is this an easy problem to fix? Also seeking advice on the best position to press this lever (centre, bottom or top) should I be able to get it fixed.
