    Will a 6500 Linker work on a Beomaster 7000?

Hello. I got a bargin price on a Beomaster 7000. Problem is the 7000 remote was not included. The only 7000 remote I've seen advertised was in the 700 dollar range. I know of someone who may be willing to sell aBeomaster 6500 remote, but he doesn't know, nor do I if it willdo much more than turn the system on and off. Can anyione give me some advice? Thanks

It will work fine, the beomaster 6500 and the 7000 are almost identical so the Master Control Panel 6500 works fine with a 7000.

And for everyday use a Beolink 1000 will work perfectly - so will the Beo4 but not quite as well IMO. Much more practical than the MCP6500.Wink

Re: Will a 6500 Linker work on a Beomaster 7000?

I would recommend a 1000, 5000 or 7000. MCP6500 will work, but is huge, heavy and consumes batteries (I sold mine beacuse of these reasons). It looks nice, though. The biggest thing you will lack is the RDS functionality that later versions of BL7000 do facilitate. In everyday use BL1000 is still fantastic.

I can offer you trade your master 7000 to my master 6500 in perfect condition.
As you already know there is no problems of having them work cross 6500/7000 units however I have 7000 CD and 7000 Tape to match with beomaster.
So let me know if interested. I'm in NYC area of USA.
