    Happy late Xmas in Mexico

Today a package arrived from my son in DK, the package started out in mid December with my son in Aarhus, he shipped with Danpost to Viborg where a friend of his took it to Mexico city, he delivered to a freind of ours in Guernavaca, Mexico. Our freind went on vacations and didn't come back until Jan. 13, and yesterday we could meet and pick up the package, you just cant ship high value items like this with anyone not thrusted, they may eat it, destroy it or loose it or god forbid keep it to themself.

In the package, a Xmas calender light, Licorice, Remoulade, Rostet onions, BM 2400 remote, Beo CDs and 2 figures for the FS

Beosound 3000, BL 4000, BL 8000, BG 2404,BG 5000, BG CD50, Beocord 5000, BM 901, BM 2400, BM 4000, BV S45, BV 3702. There is nothing we cannot do, but a lot of things we don't want to do!!

After carefully counting the items, I opened a licorice bag and took out one piece to enjoy the texture, first it feels hard but then after e time in your hand it gets softer, bring it to your nose and you can smell it, in your mouth it slowly melts and give of the taste of salt and sweet a lttle acid at the same time, its back to childhood memories.

I then opened the CD box, put on the Rock album, and started making a Danish open sandwich, salami from our locale butcher, rye bread, Remoulade and roasted onions.

    Merry LATE Christmas Soren

I can fully understand the enjoyment you must have had ... made so much better by your slow appreciation of the gifts !

    Lovely Nostalgia

First B&O (1976) was a Beogram 1500 ... latest (2011) change has been to couple the BL11 with the BL6Ks *sounds superb*

Aah, salmiakki - the good stuff! I couldn't imagine living without it! Merry Christmas Søren Yes - thumbs up

Regarding the Christmas calendar, it's nice that most Decembers have days 1-24, so it should still be useful Laughing

Except every shop & kiosk in Finland. Not often that particular brand, but there's certainly no shortage Big Smile

The local vodka with it needs to be bought in the official alcohol stores, though...

Remolade og rundstykker (danish morning wheat bread) is imposible to get outside DK, licorice you can find in some airports WW.

For the Vodka, Finlandia, 1 cup of Finlandia 5 pcs. salty licorice leave covered for 1 week, stir and enjoy in a 6 Cl. glass

That is excellent stuff. We have something similar over here in Holland, although I prefer Salmiakki. Difficult to get in Holland but there is at least one place where I can get the real Finnish Salmiakki made by Fazer. Love it.

It is quite a drink indeed. I once took a bottle of that stuff to a Finnish friend in Thailand along with a lot of the licorice variety.

Thats right Leslie, I was supposed to go over there, My sister was planning to come over here, but it never got the way we wished, so yes it took a year, also because I didn't want to risk loosing it somewhere underway.

BTW I could not test it as my BM2400 is down (soon up again), but it looks very good, that one didn't have much use, and thank you again for the battery, very difficault to get here. As you saw it came with the 6 CD set, top music, it really get my Onkyo and 5 channel surround working.
