is there any way to make cd spin a bit more quiet?

when music plays quiet i can hear it louder than sound from speakers

Maybe the CD-player needs some service after 23 years or more?

well it's certainly need it but i've asked for help how to do it.

There have been two types of laser used in BeoCenter 9000, the CDM2 mechanism and the CDM4. The CDM2 can be a bit noisy, nothing can be done about that, it is in the design of the laser. Only solution is replacing it with a CDM4 laserunit, if you can get hold of one.
