    beomaster 8000

hey I recently acquired a beomaster 8000 and plugged it in and all I get out of it is a single red dot on the readout.  I push the stand by O  button but nothing happens.  Is it broken?  I dont know alot about the 8000.  If anyone knows anything it would be greatly appreciated.  I cant even change inputs like getting fm stations etc..  Thank you!

No remote I assume. You could try connecting something like a beogram / cord with datalink see if everything comes to life. Really this is not something that you should tackle without prior experience and an idea where to look. These area delicate machines and need an experienced B&O technician IMO.

I am sure someone could come up with suggestions of where to send, it will be worth spending money to get it fixed as it is a very fine hifi!

    Olly.
