    Avant

    Guys

Was just wandering if if is quite easy to change over a Avant housing? Was thinking of buying a broken Avant dvd and putting a working Avant vcr into it? Would this be quite an easy project or would it be evry difficult? Also are the Beovision 1 and Beocenter 1 cases interchangable? Any advice welcomed, thanks

    Re: Avant

The beovision 1 as far as I remember is just a simple case of ordering the back cover in your choice of colour remember you will have to order the fret for the speaker grill add well. Regarding the Avant not so easy the DVD version had slot for the DVD, which the VCR version does not also not very easy to change over, you would have to take the chassis out the speakers and the tube, something I would not attempt if you don't know what your doing

    Re: Avant

Well what I was thinking is taking a Avant 32 vcr and swapping the chassis with a broken Avant DVD. It would be difficult but not impossible. I'm the kind of guy that suffers from idle hands lol I want to get my teeth into a project and this looks like it could fit the bill, seeing that winter is approaching, and my car dosen't need any work so I am free. I quite like the thought of making a Avant dvd/vcr, any more words of wisdom guys? Thanks Kai for your input

No words of wisdom, more than to say we'd like to hear (and see) the final results. Good luck!
