    Subwoofer rear speaker connection?

I am trying to set up a 5.1 speaker system with my BV8 40 as the TV. The subwoofer (active  non B&O) is going to be placed near the rear speakers (also active non B&O).

Now the question is do i have to use two seperate powerlink cables for the rear speakers and the sub or can I just use the cable for the rear speakers with a Y splitter, or will I miss some of the bass sound?

My bet is that you need three cables. One to connect the sub to the sub socket on your BV8, and one each to the rear speakers, from the corresponding sockets on your BV8.

You can use one powerlink cable for the rear speakers because the cable supports the signal for left and right cannel. But you need another cable for the subwoofer because only the PL socket for the sub at the BV 8-40 offers the deep frequences.
