Beolit 600 (1960s) in Black
This just doesn't get the use it deserves, so I'm parting with a nice 1960s Beolit 600 in Black. This radio is in great condition, with no fading of the black panels or chipped or broken grilles. The aerial is nice and straight, and the chrome controls free of pitting etc. All bands pull in stations nicely - this radio doesn't disappoint!
The only small imperfection is where the previous (and original) owner etched his Birmingham postcode lightly into the white plastic trim at the top of the set. This would probably polish out with some plastic polish, but I left it in place as it adds to the history of the set.
I will ship worldwide, but would prefer collection in person as the grilles don't travel too well.
I want £125 for this, and shipping in the UK would be £12. For photos or international shipping quotes, please ask.
These are getting rarer to find in this condition, so don'd delay as it will be off on eBay if I don't sell it in the next week!

Wish you all the luck for selling John, but honestly, I thought this was not allowed?

Re: Beolit 600 (1960s) in Black
Two times I got reminded that showing links to Ebay for private sale is not allowed.
First time my link was removed and second time someone was because I put a link by mistake
Please clarify what the policy is over here (I think I know)
"However sellers & dealers simply posting links to items listed on ebay or other internet sales sites will not be allowed and deleted. This also applies to anyone offering any services without prior consent from the moderating team."

Good morning, gentlemen.
Yes Leslie, the policy has been like you say, and that's why I deleted the link from John's post. I wasn't around when the policy was decided on, but I believe it is there to prevent the forum from getting clogged with eBay links, and to keep it usable for direct sales between members.
Anybody interested should easily find this item by searching a popular auction site, seems well worth it

Re: Beolit 600 (1960s) in Black
Rule are rules, so I can't complain, but I would suggest that they need looking at again.
I only keep a Silver membership going to access the Sales forum, and to be honest this year I have posted several items for sale and not had a bit of interest, only to then whack them on eBay and get amazing prices for them. I doubt many people will get £450 for a Beogram 4002 or £720 for a Beomaster 6000 Quad any time soon, yet I did on eBay after not receiving a sniff of interest on here. Forum traffic seems to have slowed and from a hard-headed business perspective, I ask myself whether it's worth another £15 next year? Probably not in my case.
Surely there's a way to allow private sellers to flag up eBay listings, if for example they are offered here to Beoworld members for a specified period (say 2 weeks) first? That would prevent a stream of eBay listings being posted, but allow sellers to to benefit from the extra traffic, and Beoworlders to have first option on other members' items.

I personally like that idea John, I'll raise it up for discussion with the mod team.

Ok, but it really was a mistake (copy/paste kept in memory with the previous link)!
But it could be a sneeky trick to do it more in the future here on this forum, what do you think Jonathan (just kidding)
