That's great! 5 hours after my BL5 purchase...

Compared to other high end speakers BLb 5s are a bargain offer - if B&O wants to top
the existing flagship by quite a margin, these speakers will be VERY expensive.

Vienna, the speakers are new indeed. Can I buy a used beo4 to do the initial setup?

    Thanks for posting.

Re: Isn't it time for a "new" Beolab 5?

    Yes of course.

I'd simply ask the dealer to lend me a Beo4 for setup (or to deactivate the PIN before delivery) ...

There is no need for a new Beolab 5.

According to my dealer, a speaker that sits above the BL5 was discussed at the recent dealer conference.

Yes, this is exiting. But I don`t think, they dicussed a "new BL5". They discussed a new speaker "above" BL5, as you said. Maybe a BL6...(?)

    This won`t replace BL5, I think....

Correct. It sits above it in the speaker chain :)

I also hear that there's a new vertical speaker coming out, which will compliment the BV10. Between the 6000 and 8000, I think I was told.

Just to satisfy my curiosity: does anyone know what the crossover frequency points are? I am particularly curious to know how high those 15" cones go.

The service manual on site says the crossover points are 120/600/2000 Hz.

it not only depends on the neighboors, but also on wife, my wife also hates the look of Beolab 5, so I'm not allowed to buy them (without changing wife).
