    Re: relay for Beomaster 6000

    Welcome to Beoworld !

Relays normally have part nos in the 76xxxx range.
2516xxx sounds more like a bracket, clamp, clip, holder or some other
    kind of mechanical fastener.

Is it the 4-channel version ?
Can you be more specific regarding the function of the relay ?

Thanks for the welcome! the relay is located on circuit board # 11 with two other fuses. It is a four channel system from '81

    Re: relay for Beomaster 6000

That's the newer stereo version, then (2 channels to four speaker outputs).
I've never replaced one of those relays, never saw a defective one, but I'm sure I can find
a good used original one if you need.
Are you sure that relay is bad ?
Can you tell us, what are the symptoms of the Beomaster ?

Also, please check that part no again.
My manual gives part no 7600061 for the relay on board 11.

thanks for your help so far, Martin.  7600021 is the correct part # for the relay I mentioned.  I am almost certain that the relay is faulty, the unit will turn on but just for a split second, then the contacts on said relay open up as soon as they make contact. I have also observed the relay, in service position when i tried to power it up, i can see it shorting out. any more information you have would be greatly appricated.

    Re: relay for Beomaster 6000

Likelier to be an amplifier fault and the processor commands the relay (and with it
the amplifier power) off again as soon as it was powered on.
    Try without speakers.
Still no go, check the idle current and DC offset and look around for a shorted output stage transistor.

just got back to checking this thing, no luck so far, not sure how to check idle current. also don't know how to check DC offset without the unit on.  no sign of any shorted transisters
