I've got a pair of Beovox RL2000 speakers, and one of the woofers is blown. Can anyone point me to directions to remove the woofer and a suitable replacement?

With "blown", du mean, not working, or maybe only a bad surround, please explain. And a pic or 2

The foam is ripped around the cone on the woofer, I removed the back and could see that the foam was ripped, but couldn't figure out how to remove the speaker. There were 4 clips screwed in surrounding it, but removing those did nothing to free it. I'll snap some pics.

You will have to pry it out with a wide bladed screwdriver, go around prying little by little, take care not to damage housing or driver, there is a rubber gasket between the driver and the housing and they can sit hard, but will come lose.

You have what is known as foam rot, and the foam surrounds can be changed for new ones, search the forum for speaker repair, foam surrounds, or here, repair the other speaker as well, if foam isn't bad now, it will be soon.

When open change the caps in the crossovers.

Yep, it looks like the gasket was just a little sticky. I got the driver out and I'm gonna see if I can replace the foam.

Glue for surrounds here, surrounds I buy here they are very cheap, other members may have opinions about cheap surrounds, but I have made 2 pcs. S45 woofers and 2 pcs. RL 140 woofers, all 4 woofer plays and sound OK since 6 months.

Other members may have recommandations, so wait a little before ordering, I have only experience of the above mensioned.

Check carefully the dimensions and form (profile) of your surrounds before ordering, don't forget to order dustcaps if you use the recommended shimming metod, The RL 140 woofers has a very tight fit in the voice coil so I choose to shim all woofers.

It not a complicated job, it just take some care and time, and together with a cap change your speakers will sound as new.
