I had a Beomaster 5000 where the signal strength meter cover was very brown - Tim Jarman assurred me it wasn't nicotine - just aging of the plastic - no amount of polishing would get rid of it. Good luck with fabricating one if you don't manage to get a replacement.

    Cheers

I think can manage to make one myself, thanks Nigel! Will post a picture when it's finished.

Fortunately my signal meter is still bright and clear.

excellent Leslie, how did you do your neat red line? - I made a couple of similar pieces for beomaster 901 volume and tone sliders but was never happy with the result...

Hi Ben73, just used a scratch-pen (is that the word?), make a fairly deep scratch and fill it with paint, let it dry a wipe the rest off, that's all.

edit: use a brush, that's obvious, but before you do, use tape on both side of the scratched line.
