    Beovox CX100 speaker problem

    Hi,

     

    I have just replaced the surrounds on a pair of CX100 speakers which I'm using with a Beosystem 5000.  Treble very subdued.  Are these units known for this ?  Compared with Technics SBF2 (alloy cased two way bookshelf speakers) they sound rather dull.  Are the cross over units known for going bad on these ? Or is there anything else to look at ?
