    MS150

Well, after posting last week that these are like hen's teeth, I spotted these 3 hours before the auction ended and was very sorely tempted to bid....however SWMBO might have drawn the line at having 2 pairs in the house Unsure

Anyway I think someone got a bargain - if all they need is refoaming it's an awful lot of speaker for £155! - hope it was one of us.

    Cheers

No stands - that is a pain! Why do people take them off! There is a whopping great bass reflex port in the base!

Stands are both pictured and mentioned here.
But I agree that they are VERY essential !

    Re: MS150

Hate to contradict you Peter but there were stands! IMO it is a buyers market for all but mint or rare items atm! I remember a VGC refoamed set of MS150's go for far more than this about three years ago! I recently saw a Beocenter 9000, 2 x Lab Penta's Beogram 4000 and two BLink 1000's (plus U70's? and couple other older speakers) go for about £370 recently. IMO that really was a bargain! TBH It was a fat finger auction but the most common of mistakes and everyone knows this old secret now - I often find things go for at least their value if not more sometimes!

I must admit I was sorely tempted, but the long drive to collect them put me off in the end.

If MS150s on ebay are as rare as hen's teeth, then how rare are M100s?

Well, like buses I suppose, you don't see one for ages and then two come along at once.  Shame about the lack of the original stands, though.  I'm very tempted - but I would have to move house and change partners!

Reading up on them on beocentral it says, these were supplied with adjustable stands, monogramed on the front of them with the models name.

Hard to believe how these would go missing in that case!

Would probably be just as hard to find these i suppose, as a pair of trumpet stands i am looking for to go with my s60s.Sad

    Re: MS150

I have seen more M100's than MS150's tbh. I am sure they get hauled out the loft by relatives who are not aware there are a pair of stands sitting next to them, or elsewhere.

Not sure I could get a pair of M100s into my loft without either damaging me, or, for that matter, the loft!

That really was a good price IMO! last faulty great condition 4000 I saw went for £170! I was also number 2! Thing is you got to remember that the other high bidder might have entered a much higher amount so wishing you had bid more is a bit of a lost cause really. That high bidder bargain might be you next time!

BTW I missed this and I think I would have put a higher amount on what it went for!
