@Jaff - Gee, how much trunk space do I need to reserve?!?!

That depends completely on your fabric selector.

Now really, the 2200 might indeed be a reasonable way to "get into vinyl on the cheap". The turntable is the best part of it. The bad part is that it takes quite a lot of space to reach that goal, and the rest isn't special in any way.

That depends completely on your fabric selector.

If it were up to the Fabric Selector, ZERO trunk space would be needed.

PS  So, Beoworld has a pretty high tolerance for thread-jacking.  Nice!

    Good luck Chris.

P.S. Does this mean a certain pair of "stone" CX's may find a home as well? Whistle

    EEK!

I know my limits Jaff - 5 quid for pair of speculative do - me - up's is one thiing but £175 for a pair of pebble dashed CX50's is quite another. (I am a Yorkshireman after all - "short arms & deep pockets").

    Chris.

The use of metaphors should be avoided like the plague. They're like a red rag to a bull to me.

Oh, this has been a great thread! All over the place. I love that Chris has made this a challenge! I think it will be great to see Lee's OP come full circle and can't wait to see the result.

So now we need to find out who bought them.
I suppose, we can rule out Lee ?

Well it may have been a cunning plan by Lee to discouage others to buy these so he can add to his evergrowing collection of B&O classics!

    Re: Some things...

This was a great thread. I was super interested in the 1702's during the winter time as I was looking for some small speakers. As Martin states, they are rare - haven't come across one single pair.

I'm deff bummed you didn't get to restore them Chris.

I can't say I'm actually crying into my beer over this but it would have made a pretty good resto-thread.

There will be other I'm sure.Cool

Maybe someone could take on these non-2600's as a project.  They've been for sale for months.

With that cost? I don't doubt it! I got mine for less than that AND in wonderful shape! Even from the original owner Smile
