Which is the best B&O earphone?
At work my lunch break has been greatly enhanced by my new Sony Walkman (the el cheapo Supremeo currently available…. but I am looking for a D6C) I am now intrigued by the idea of really good earphones.
So which B&O earphones are really the best?

I don't think any of the B&O range are that good. Look at Sennheisser.

Of the 4, it seems like everyone prefers the Form 1. Of the 2 current offerings the A8 is probably better suited to a mobile player.
But Peter is right, look around at other makers. I was looking at Audio Technica's website last night! They have a huge number of products in headphones alone. Definitely a brand I would try again.
Last night I was noodling around on the Fostex website and it turns out they are of the handful of makers still producing orthodynamic units! I have a Fostex system in my car and I will be picking up a set of the T50RP's very soon - Great stuff. They seem to have pretty good above average feedback on the head-fi forums.

Re: Which is the best B&O earphone?
I cant get used to earbuds headphones, I bought a pair of A8s, in the hope that they are better than these ugly pieces you have to put all the way into your ear, and found out that they have to be placed very exactly to get the full sound, move them a little and the sound differs, gave them to my son, I'm using my 18 years old PH 575 Sennheiser, as with everything audio/audiophile there is a lot out there, for full size headphones I would look for Grado, Sennheiser, Audio Technica, my choice will be Sennheiser, as my old ones after 18 years still sounds good.
Beosound 3000, BL 4000, BL 8000, BG 2404,BG 5000, BG CD50, Beocord 5000, BM 901, BM 2400, BM 4000, BV S45, BV 3702. There is nothing we cannot do, but a lot of things we don't want to do!!

Re: Which is the best B&O earphone?
This thread has inspired me to go and get my mid 80s Audio Technicas! Already gotten a few odd looks here on campus the connection to my iPod is a little sloppy 1/4" > adapter > iPod. The iPod is having a little trouble driving them too! Sounding good though.

Hi Peter,
There are numerous Sennheisser headphones available, which ones do you recommend?
I do not care for the earbuds and prefer the bulkier but more comfortable over the ear type.

HD650 is really good or HD800 if you get very serious.
Keep in mind, the higher the numbers go, the more you need an headphone amp to drive the cans.
Best

I am a happy user of Form 1's for my Walkman and home listening. They are good for most styles, though not bass heavy. I like them very much when I am mixing on my band's recorded music as they represent a very natural sound picture compared to any speaker, even my MS150.2's.

Re: Which is the best B&O earphone?
I'd say Form 1's too, but they tend to distort when played loud. I must admit, I am biased to Sennheiser HD-25 which I use to produce music and DJ. These are also the standard for the media industry. However, I love the A8's and wouldn't trade them for anything else (in terms of size and convenience).
