    Beocord 9000 overheating

Hello, I have encountered this problem in one of my BC9000's. It plays and records well, but after abot 20 minutes left on, the rear cooling fins are too hot to touch. I suspect that some sort of output transistor gets too much current (bias problems). Is it an ordinary problem on the Beocord 8000 range?

They all run a bit warm on the cooling fins.
The Beocord 9000 particularly so but if yours are far warmer than normal is
    obviously hard to tell.
You will normally not be able to burn your fingers but it may feel "unpleasant" warm.

My other BC9000 are also working a little hot, but this one is almost burning my fingers. I can take a temperature reading with my optical thermometer when I come home from work.

    Re: Beocord 9000 overheating

    Hello!

Yes I concur with you. My two Beocord 9000 run quite hot as well. This would seem normal although a bit worrying!

The Beocord 6000/8000 don't run as hot, far from it.

But then have a look at the diagram and you will understand!

It runs at a steady 60-63 degrees centigrade, I think the CCC system is heating quite a bit, eh? Stick out tongue
