    Powering a Beolab 6000

I want to improve the sound in our conservatory where the "kids" play their PS3 etc. What else apart from the Beolab 6000's will i need to get to make these work(pre amp/amp/av receiver etc) with a non B&O tv?

    Thanks in advance

A Beovision 10-40 in black and red fret on order, Beo4, Beo6, many A8's, a pair of white and yellow Form 2's, Beocom 4, 28 inch Avant RF DVD, Apple TV and a wife that loves this stuff as much as i do!

Depends on the outputs of your TV. If it has pre-amp out, nothing. Otherwise it will be either a pre-amp or attenuated cables.

    Hi Chris,

The easiest option is to switch the speakers to "Line" mode and plug them into the headphone socket of the TV.  This will allow you to control the volume from the TV remote.  If you need any help or advice with finding the right cables, please click on my banner at the foot of the page and I will be happy to help.

    Kind regards,

    Steve.

one prob you may run into is my Samsung has a minijack line out, but this is pumped out at full volume, not controlled by the remote  volume.  Manual says that volume must be controlled by separate amp.  It would have been nice for me to be able to go right to the BL6000 but now I have to figure something out for it.
