Hi Everyone!

I have a problem with my Beomaster 6000. It was happened after 6 hours of playing. Then Beo turned off.

When I tried turn it on I saw only "P" letter indicator and amplifier won't start.

What does this "P" mean? What is wrong?

Please help!

The "P" does not mean anything specific but it reveals that the processor is not running
its programme as intended.

The main issues of the Beomaster 6000 are aging capacitors and cracked solder joints.
Caps generally, solder joints at the lower edge of the processor module and
at the board right below the processor board. Mainly where connectors are soldered in.
The processor reset circuit can also act up.

Will it go into standby (red dot) and in the given case is the red dot the only thing lit then ?
Any reaction to the remote control (if that option is fitted) ?

Now I'm closer to repair it.

There is no red dot. Always this P is shining since it broke down.

Unfortunately I haven't terminal. I will have it in the end of this week.

Now I'll try to find reason of the mistake.

Sounds like a reset problem - or the processor.
Check trimmer R89 and zener D6 in the reset circuit and
the other things already mentioned.

Everything looks fine.

In service manual there is a sentense about manual restarting of the processor. 

Something like "find two points marked TEST RESET and do short circuit between them for a while"

Maybe it will works. 

Where are this points?

I checked out all of Your pointers carefully but I'm electric amateur.

Maybe I overlooked something. I'll check it again.

The test points are across resistor R90 which can just be shorted. Still, that does
not provide any help if trimmer R89 is bad.
The best thing would be to see the reset signal on a scope.
Should be low when mains is connected and jump to some 4½-5 Volts within
half a second or so.
