Just after some advice from the experts...I have just helped by boss's son buy his first turntable/stereo - a beomaster/cord/gram2000 with 2 beovox X35's. Beautiful condition with original receipts from 1984 - would have looked great in my lounge room actually - a very nice 21st present.
While 'fishing' for the transport screws for the beogram 2000 I lifted the platter (I'm more familiar with older beograms) the aluminium platter lifted off with the 'subplatter' assembly (I hope this was supposed to happen). This of course meant the belt was dislodged. It looks like it will be quite a tricky job to replace the belt. I'm going to help him set up the beogram in the next few days - is there an easy way to replace the belt or is the only access through the top of the beogram.
Any advice would be welcome.
