    Beomedia1 & OSX Leopard

Dear all, I got a very crazy idea but before I do any further steps I need opinions!!! I have a Beomedia1 that will not use thanks to Beoport/Linkplayer. I'm thinking of installing Leopard on but I'm not sure if: 1. Leopard will be installed due to the old motherboard and other hardware. 2. Even if it will be installed, not sure if it will recognize the on board Beoport since this is on PCMCIA basis and notUSB, therefore not available drivers. Any ideas? Best regards Spiros

    Best regards

If you can get around the limitations/requirements... this could be an interesting project.

It will be interesting to see what happens w/ the ML port, etc...

Beomedia is quite an old machine for Leopard...

But the internal Beoport is seen as being connected though USB. I have used a "USB tracer" sofware to analyse the traffic between the computer and the internal Beoport.

    Hello Phil,

I'm happy about the USB part!! It's going to save alot of effort.

Do you think that OS 10.5 or earlier could do the trick?

Of course another argument is how the machine will behave in movies, music etc. Maybe this will slow the whole performance.

I will try to put another hard disc since the Beomedia1 is brand new!

    Best regards

    Spiros
