Has anyone heard if B&O is coming out with the gift cards for the holidays this year?

Last years cards were greatly restricted from the prior year and I'm not sure how successful or, unsuccessful it was.

We are doing Gift Cards in the US this year, and they should be in the mail as we speak. B&O have learned from past mistakes and have made the gift cards easier to use, with fewer restricitions.

Basically the offer is $100 off a purchase of $500 or more. No products are excluded, not even the BeoSound 8! Only new products qualify, and the cards can't be used for service or installation charges.

If you bring the card into a dealer they will also register you for a contest. Grand prize is your very own BeoSound 8.

Can the cards be used for new parts? I.E. I am getting ready to order the parts to change the color on a pair of Beolab 4000s.

Parts fall under "service" in B&O speak, so BL4000 grills, etc. wouldn't qualify. It's been a long time since I've done it, but I don't think new covers would be over $500. Could be wrong, though, wouldn't be the first time!

My dealer quoted me $665 for the metal parts. $120 for a pair of grills.

just ordered a pair of white grills for my Beolab 4000......cost me 55$..,.....that is a lot less than 120$....

I was hoping for the unconditional $50 card so I could grab some earphones before my trip to Germany. I am leaving from Wash DC where there are 3 B&O dealers!! What a place! I do plan on visiting these dealers though and perhaps meet some lovely BeoWolders.

Would you mind asking your dealer what he would quote as a price for the metal parts to change color on a pair of 4000s?

Yep ... We've already had a number of people show up to try their luck at the vault.  Make sure you stop in to your local shop over the holidays and see if you're the big winner!

Did this just start? I was at B&O store on Sunday and nothing advertized or mentioned while I was there.

I've got 5 of these that I can't use.  $100 off a $500 min. purchase.  Valid in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean.  Good until January 15th.
