    WMA Lossless support

    Hi

I have ripped more or less all my CD's to my BM5 in WMA lossless, but I have found out that many players (i.e. my Tvix or my HTC phone) does not support WMA lossless.

So now I also rip in MP3 320..............Sad

Do any of you know why there is so little support of this format? I just saw that the BeoSound 6 supports up to 192 WMA/320 kb/s MP3. Also not WMA Lossless.

    Thanks in advance.

    There is something about B&O.....

As far as I understand the codecs are Microsoft proprietary, so you can't use them on non-Windows platforms without help (and licensing) from Microsoft.

But you don't necessarily have to rerip, you can also convert - foobar2000 for example can convert WMA lossless to almost any other format.

Thanx a lot, great little tool, just copied/converted Chicago17 to my player in 1:30 including a conversion from WMA to MP3/320.

    Nice Yes - thumbs up
